Mary meets John the Baptist and was simply asked "What do you want?" Mary responds "to be loved." John encourages her to seek God, not man for her needs. "BEHOLD the LAMB of GOD" John received the Holy Spirit while in his mother's womb. When his pregnant mother greeted the pregnant mother of Jesus, the unborn John leaped in recognition of his only love. John loved no other as he loved the Messiah. Isaiah spoke of John's calling and purpose. John was absolutely fulfilled by his solitary love of God. LOVE is not just shared between man and woman. God so loved the world...which includes single men, women and children. People who never marry are filled with the Spirit of His love and are satisfied in every way. The unconditional love of a parent for a child is more like the love of God than the lust between man and woman.
